Ground Squirrels

The ground squirrel is sandy and uniform in color, ranging anywhere from about 8 to 11 inches long (including its tail). They have small ears and long, round, and bushy tails. In Arizona, ground squirrels and often found outdoors near trees and foraging for food such as nuts, berries, plants, and insects. Though their main habitats are underground burrows, they also commonly nest inside homes in places like attics and garages, with the potential to cause notable damage to wiring, insulation, siding, and more.
